Rooted in faith. Building bridges.
A historic A.M.E. Zion congregation serving Lexington, North Carolina with open hearts and open doors.

More than a century of faith in Lexington.
New Jersey A.M.E. Zion Church traces its roots to the founding of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion denomination — a movement born in 1886 from a longing for worship free from racial barriers. Our local congregation has been gathering on these grounds in Davidson County for generations, weathering change and celebrating new life.
Today, we honor that legacy by living out the Gospel — through worship that stirs the soul, ministry that meets real needs, and a welcome that crosses every line.
Bridging the Gap.
Inspired by Isaiah 58:12, we exist to repair what is broken, restore what is lost, and build bridges between people, between generations, and between every soul and the love of Christ.
Our Mission
To make disciples of Jesus Christ by worshipping God, growing in faith, and serving our community with compassion.
Our Vision
A church without walls — where every person is known, every gift is celebrated, and every neighbor is loved.
Our Values
Faith, family, fellowship, and faithfulness to the calling God has placed on this congregation.
A people of the Word.
We confess our faith in the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — and stand firmly within the historic Wesleyan-Methodist tradition. We believe Scripture is the inspired Word of God, salvation comes through the grace of Jesus Christ, and the Church is called to embody God's love in the world.
